Brexit and the EU referendum campaign, charged with hate speech and anti-immigration rethoric, should serve as a reminder that responsible and ethical media have to condemn and stop racism and xenophobia. In June MDI and Get the Trolls Out continued to reveal some of the most common hidden linguistic mechanisms in antisemitic speech. At the European Summer School in Budapest, MDI presented several cases of discrimination against Roma in the UK and the European press pointing out tips on how to report responsibly.
