We are pleased to launch a call for applications for the #NoCOVIDiscrimination Initiative Grant Scheme.

As part of the Trust’s #NoCOVIDiscrimination Initiative, we are seeking applications from organisations working with and on behalf of groups exposed to discrimination for projects aimed at monitoring, documenting, and challenging the discriminatory impacts of State responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funding is available for civil society and trade union organisations registered in one of eight target countries: Armenia, Bolivia, Cape Verde, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Paraguay, or the Philippines. With the support of the European Union, we expect to award up to twenty-five grants of between 3,000 EUR and 9,000 EUR. The purposes of the scheme are: (i) to increase the legal, technical and strategic capacity of selected equality defenders and organizations to (a) identify, document and monitor discriminatory impacts of State responses to COVID-19, and/or (b) challenge the discriminatory impacts of State responses to COVID-19 through advocacy or awareness-raising.
