East European Performing Arts Platform (EEPAP) Small Grants Programme
New EEPAP Small Grants Programme is designed to support the innovation, creativity and professional development of individual artists, curators, academics, artistic groups and organizations working in the contemporary dance, theatre and wider performing arts field in 18 EEPAP countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, Georgia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Macedonia, Romania, Croatia).
The grant should be used to cover travel and accommodation expenses for an arts professional invited to contribute to an artistic project by an organisation, institution or group. The invited person and the inviting entity must be based in different countries.
The artistic projects may include the development, completion, production or presentation of new work or additional funding of existing ongoing artistic residence programmes or productions.
The results of the artistic projects must be presented publicly. Eligible projects include:
- performances
- workshops
- lectures
- residency programs
- showcases
- festivals
- and more
The projects should be characterised by an innovative approach and social and civil engagement.
6 small grants will be awarded in 2016. The selected projects will be supported with the sum of 1000 Euros.
ELIGIBILITY
- Applications must be made by governmental or non-profit organizations and institutions, independent artistic groups or companies active in performing arts.
- One organisation, institution or group can submit only one project.
- Both the arts professional and the organization have to be based in EEPAP countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, Georgia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Macedonia, Romania, Croatia.
- The project should be an international cooperation - the invited arts professional and the inviting entity must be based in 2 different countries from the list above.
- The project must be presented publicly at least once.
- The grant should be used to cover travel and accommodation expenses for the invited arts professional - flight, train or bus tickets, per diem, accommodation.
- The grant cannot be used to purchase fixed assets.
- Production of the selected projects must start in 2016 and be publicly presented until June 2017.
- The funding will be transferred to the grant winners in 2016.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
An application should include:
- a short description of the project - up to 6000 characters
- the art professional’s CV or portfolio or a link to their profile on the EEPAP website
- information about the applying organization or a link to their profile on the EEPAP website
- a letter of intent or a different document confirming the present/future collaboration between the invited arts professional and the inviting entity
- budget calculation and purpose of funding
- all documents should be in English
- applications should be submitted until June 30th, 2016 by email to [email protected]
A final report must be submitted within two months of project completion. The report should contain a detailed financial settlement.
EEPAP should be mentioned as one of the funding organizations in all materials connected to the supported project. This includes using EEPAP’s logo on the project website, posters, leaflets and all digital and print promotional materials. Print materials must be submitted to EEPAP for acceptation. EEPAP should also be mentioned by the project’s social media accounts. The final report must include a complete documentation of the project’s promotion (such as previews, press releases and reviews) together with 5 copies of print materials (if any were created).
SELECTION PROCESS
- Evaluation of the applications and awards will be made by EEPAP experts and curators on a peer review panel.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- The final selection will be published on the EEPAP web page www.eepap.culture.pl by July 15th, 2016.
