The Digital Influencers in Action Forum which is taking place in Podgorica, Montenegro, June 18-19, 2019, is a two-day event and will focus on engaging influencers and building digital campaigns with social impact, in diverse fields of work such as civil society, private sector, government and the media.
The forum will look at the process of creating influence, the role of identity, reputation, and how ideas spread in the digital age. We’ll explore digital tools and multi-platforms to achieve influence, live streams that draw engagement, how to raise online your profile, how to translate analytics into better content and make algorithms work for you. We’ll look at visual storytelling tactics, navigating the ins and outs of Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok and so much more. Impact will be on the agenda, including how influencers can reach bigger audiences using tools to manage campaigns and how those audiences can develop and drive communities.
The forum will also cover drawbacks of this new paradigm, what the loss of trust in legacy institutions means and how the influencers, who use misinformation and misleading storytelling as tools, think. Since societies can’t fight back against misinformation, hoaxes and propaganda by acting the same way the purveyors of misinformation do, the Forum will explore ecosystems of positive influencers with impact and look at the notions of authenticity and trust and how they are achieved in the digital space.
The first day will bring together digital marketers, social influencers, analysts, entrepreneurs, journalists and other professionals for brief, up to 15-minute talks on innovative, influencer driven, digital campaigns with social impact. Topics such as identifying and engaging influencers, amplifying the reach with influencer marketing, influencers platforms, key metrics for influencers, monitoring campaigns’ impact, fake influencers, reaching audiences in a whole new way will be included.
The second day will have workshops, an unconference (in the form of PechaKucha), and a mini-fair showcasing digital campaigns and projects. The unconference will provide the audience an opportunity to briefly present their campaigns, in connection to the workshops’ topics. In addition to the different formats of discussion, interested organizations will be able to present their programs at specially designed booths, increasing the level of interactivity and creative synergies.
Our forum will be
● Multi-disciplinary: because the information space is complex and only diverse perspectives and approaches, from a variety of professional angles, can identify effective solutions
● Global: because relevant patterns are manifesting worldwide
● Interactive: because the best solutions need collaboration and engagement.
The forum is arranged by Digital Communication Network (DCN), an association/incubator, using a multi-disciplinary approach for cross-learning and cross-experiencing in the digital information space and World Learning, an NGO focusing on capacity building and sustainability in global networks.
