Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant is waiting for your applications!

The Hrant Dink Foundation is proud to announce the open call for the 7th round of the Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant.
Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant aims to increase direct contacts and to promote cooperation between the peoples of the two neighbouring countries. Between July 2016 to July 2017, thanks to theEuropean Union funding, Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant will continue to support at least 180 individuals and non-profit civic initiatives from Armenia and Turkey to travel to the neighbouring country for their activities and studies in various thematic fields, by covering their international and domestic travel costs.

The Hrant Dink Foundation awarded 210 individuals from Armenia and Turkey to travel to the neighbouring country between April 2014 and May 2015 thanks to the European Union funding. Between July 2015 and September 2015, Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant supported the travels of 26 individuals with the joint financial assistance of the British Embassy Ankara and the British Embassy Yerevan. After their visits to the neighbouring country the grantees have shared their experiences and impressions through the Beyond Borders website.
Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant is designed as a pool to encourage non-profit civic initiatives and individuals including youth initiatives, university students, civil society organisations, professional organisations, high school students and teachers, academics and researchers, journalists, doctors, lawyers, social workers, publishers, artists, sports clubs, businesses and local authorities, to travel to the neighbouring country for specific goals. Through the Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant, the Foundation aims to contribute to joint initiatives between the people of the two countries in various thematic fields such as civil society, youth and volunteering, human rights and democracy, education, environment, history, culture and arts, development, sports, gender, medicine, law, technology, regional cooperation and European integration.
The applications to the Travel Grant will be assessed by an independent Selection Committee made up of 6 members from Turkey and Armenia. The selection results and grantees will be announced on the Beyond Borders website.

In 2016-2017, Hrant Dink Foundation will administer the Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant with the financial assistance of the European Union within the framework of the programme Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process - Stage II in collaboration with the Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) and Gyumri ‘’Youth Initiative Centre’’ NGO (YIC) in Armenia.
