TERMS OF REFERENCE
Position title: Consultant for UN4MUN-Armenia Conference
Contract type: Individual Contract
Application deadline: 28 August 2017 (8 am Yerevan time)
Starting date: 11 September 2017
Duration: 2 months (9 weeks) – part-time (minimum 20 hrs per week)
Duty Station: Yerevan, Armenia
Main responsibilities and duties:
Under the guidance and supervision of the UNO/DPI Officer-in-Charge the consultant will contribute to the overall organization of the conference and in particular:
- Help shortlist and finalize the conference participants’ list in close cooperation with the universities;
- Prepare the schedule for training and possible additional meetings;
- Create a working network to keep contact with all participants throughout the whole period of the conference;
- Prepare and finalize promotional materials for publication;
- Support to the finalization process of the MUN page on UN Armenia website;
- Provide logistic and administrative support related to the conference proper;
- Liaise closely with UN Agencies, Resident Embassies and Government entities if necessary;
- Provide other support and assistance as required.
Qualification and experience
- Master’s degree or a candidate for MA in international relations, political science or any other relevant field;
- Participation in minimum one Model UN Conference; chairing a MUN in any capacity will be a great advantage;
- Fluent knowledge of English and Armenian;
- Good familiarity with the UN System, rules and procedures;
- Excellent computer skills;
- Experience in and good command of social media platforms.

Short-listed candidates might be invited to interviews to ease the process of selection.
Individual Consultant will be evaluated at the end of the contract period upon the receipt of the final report. The reimbursement as a lump sum will be paid at the end of the second month.
