AGMI announces 2018 Lemkin Scholarship for Foreign Students

The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute announces 2018 LEMKIN SCHOLARSHIP program for foreign students and PhD candidates. Raphael Lemkin scholarship is intended to enable foreign students and young scientists, who specialize in genocide studies, especially in the Armenian Genocide, to visit Armenia for a month to conduct research in local scientific institutions and libraries.
The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute will provide researchers possibility to carry out their research in AGMI, including necessary research materials and consultation.

The “Support to SME development in Armenia” (SMEDA) project, in cooperation with Tom Fleming Creative Consultancy and Goldsmiths University of London, will organise a 3-day training for Armenian startups and 1- day training for marketing companies. The training will cover the stat-up journey that businesses need to go on to successfully achieve funding, with a particular focus on gearing up for crowdfunding. It is aimed at entrepreneurs currently developing innovative products and services, ideas and solutions and will equip them with the skills and knowledge to promote, raise interest and eventually obtain investments and funding.
Call for Applications: Wayne Vucinich Fellowship

The Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREEES) at Stanford University invites applications for the Wayne Vucinich Fellowship.
This is a twelve-week residential fellowship to be offered from April-June 2018. The fellowship is open to scholars in any discipline whose research focuses on historical or contemporary topics in Russia, East Europe, the Caucasus, or Central Asia. Scholars who have received the PhD within the past five years are eligible to apply. (A PhD in hand is required at the time the residency begins.) Preference will be given to scholars who are residents of countries that fall under the direct purview of the Center: Russia, East Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.

Art of (anti) Corruption Comic Book Launch

Impact Hub Yerevan cordially invites you to the launch of the Art of (anti) Corruption Comic Book on Wednesday, November 15th at 6:30pm.
The unique comic book has been created in collaboration with Eiva Arts Foundation and depicts the effects corruption has on the everyday life of a young Armenian boy. During the event EIVA Arts Foundation will read and present the idea behind the comic book. Copies of the comic book will be available free of charge.

Call for Proposals: Horizon 2020 – Spreading excellence and widening participation

The WIDESPREAD-05-2017 call is part of the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Programmedubbed “Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation” (SEWP).
The specific challenge is to address networking gaps and deficiencies between the research institutions of the Widening countries and internationally-leading counterparts at EU level.
The Twinning project aims at strengthening a defined field of research in a university or research organisation from a Widening country by linking it with at least two internationally-leading research institutions in other Member States or Associated Countries. The list of Widening Countries include also Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine.
