PROJECT TITLE: 7-day Joint Vocational Training on Tourism and Tour Services
POSITION : International Trainer on Tour Guiding and Touristic Servcies
LOCATION: Dilijan, Tavush Marz, Armenia
DURATION: 2 days
GENERAL BACKGROUND
The Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan (YCCD) hereby launches a call for international experts/specialists for conducting sessions on the topic of hospitality services and sustainable tourism. The session will gather 60 participants from Georgia and Armenia and number of stakeholders and representatives from partner organizations. The project is implemented in the framework of a “Eastern Partnership Territorial Programme” cross-border programme of the European Union in cooperation with GiZ (German Corporation for International Cooperation).
The aim is to ensure, with help of international experts, the participants of the project will get specific knowledge on tour guiding and the touristic service providers and tour operators improve the services provided and marketing skills.
Working language for will be English.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities should include but not limited to:
- conducting training sessions on tour guiding, sustainable tourism with an in-depth analysis of available opportunities in the sphere
- conducting separate sessions on hospitality and service quality for business community
- to draft the evaluation of the sessions conducted and provide narrative reports for them.
REQUIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
Criteria 1. Specific area of expertise required:

Excellent knowledge of budget support methodology and in particular EU budget support guidelines, proven by track record of programme experience and training provision, including:
-
a practical experience carried out over the last 5 years in budget support programs-in particular in the identification, formulation and monitoring phases. Some of the budget support expertise should be in sector budget support programmes/sector reform contracts

At least 3 years of proven experience in conducting trainings and workshops; (References about expert´s expertise certifying their experience in the given field)

Effective teamwork and communication skills;

Skills of collecting and analyzing information and producing narrative analytical reports;

Proficiency in English.
Criteria 2. Specific knowledge/experience:
-
A practical experience carried out over the last 3 years in developing and providing training courses on tour guiding and touristic services proven by a track of training delivery
-
Proven knowledge and working experience in Eastern Partnership Countries. The expertise in South Caucasus is a plus.

Experience in working in the field of education, training and business.

Familiarity with global trends in traditional and alternative touristic activities (agrotourism, extreme tourism, eco tourism, etc.)
Criteria 3. Communication skills;

Very good oral presentation and communication skills proven by a track record of training, workshop facilitation etc.
Criteria 4. Language skills:

English - level C1

Knowledge of Russian is a plus
FINANCES:
The remuneration of the expert will be contract-based.
Daily expenses (hotel, meals, etc.) and travel expenses are covered by the organizers.
The experts will be provided with proper translation of all the available documents.
