The outbreak of fighting along the line of contact in April 2016 has made it clear that the context of this conflict has shifted from stabilizing the ceasefire to war prevention. This discussion will focus on the likely developments in the short to medium term. Carey Cavanaugh and Thomas de Waal will offer brief initial remarks, followed by a discussion among all participants. This meeting will be held off the record.
