All Our Partners Receive Certificates of Gratitude
14th British Film Festival traditionally convenes a lot of partners, followers and participants, through whose support the festival is a great success reaching wider audience every year. The closing ceremony of each festival features awarding certificates of gratitude to all the partners and publishing the results of festival competitions.
"It is interesting to note that the British Film Festival has become a long-awaited event in our cultural life. The festival year by year expands its geography hosting film screenings in more regions", said Andrey Pyatakhin, General Director of Beeline in Armenia.
The winner of BestofBritish Selfie contest was announced during the closing ceremony.Tatevik Vardanyan won the prize based on lucky draw results.
The 14th British Film Festival was organised by the British Council and the British Embassy Yerevan. The general sponsor of the festival was Beeline.
2016 has been announced a year of equal opportunities for people with disabilities in Armenia. The British Council embraced this initiative by having its own contribution to it.
We announced a contest for people to share their stories of their friends, relatives, children or colleagues with disabilities. Among the contestants there were also people with disabilities who told us about their friends.
Based on lucky draw results, the winner of the contest was Zhenya Davtyan with her story about Anush Smbatyan, her aunt.
"Anush is my aunt, my confidant, my best friend and kindred spirit. We like being together and doing crazy things. We often have walks together, do each other's makeup. We share the same interests and tastes. We like making surprises for our family members especially on birthdays. We are secretive, sociable and can make friends easily. Anush has got motor skill problems but I do not notice them. She is my best friend, my secret-keeper and adviser."
