Coalition To Stop Violence Against Women Occupied The Premises Of The Ministry of Justice's Compulsory Enforcement Services (English)
Today we occupied the premises of the Ministry of Justice's Compulsory Enforcement Services (Harkadir) with members of Coalition to Stop Violence against Women and women who are still illegally separated from their children as young as 3-4 months old because of the inefficient, unprofessional and corrupt ways of working of this department. Mothers with official court verdicts having custody of their kids are still prevented to see them for years, are prevented to even breastfeed because the newborn has been kidnapped by their husbands' family members and these people are doing nothing to restore justice and implement the law! We gave one of the head of the department 24 hours and we are back there tomorrow to start a sit-in until they fulfil their responsibilities and punish the responsible parties. Join us at 12 tomorrow (Halabyan 41A, near Tumo)
