When you have a project idea in mind, the next step is to think of how to finance it. The sources for funding can vary: applying for grants, teaming up with a big company, taking a loan from the bank, etc. But one alternative way to finance your project is through crowdfunding, which has become more and more popular in the past couple of years worldwide. 

Crowdfunding is a way of raising money for a project by asking for pledges from the public in return for rewards. For any successful crowdfunding campaign there is list of factors and conditions to be considered. Crowdfunding lets you fundraise through different platforms by asking for support your friends, relatives, colleagues and people you don’t even know. You need a really good idea, detailed planning ahead and right execution for the campaign. 

As part of #Inno4dev: Innovation for Development project, funded by the European Union, Kolba Lab helps innovative ideas to grow into working prototypes. In our incubator we work with start-up ideas, helping them to crystallize their ideas, supporting in scaling up the projects and further fundraising.
