Call for Applications. NGO Leadership Workshop

The NGO Leadership Workshop brings together two organizations at the University of Michigan, both focused on strengthening democratic accountability – the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia (WCEE) and the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan (WDI) – as well as the local insight of the Poland-based NGO, the Education for Democracy Foundation.
The Workshop is funded by the WCEE and aims at empowering selected civil society representatives to strengthen their internal expertise, managerial and income generating capacities, abilities to engage with both general public and government stakeholders and assist in networking with international linkages.
The Workshop is structured around presentations by distinguished experts and follow-up interactive small group discussions and Q&A sessions.
The Workshop is open to 25 NGO leaders from several countries from the Balkans and Central Asia, as well as from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine.
Priority will be given to persons holding managing positions at their organization. NGOs working in the following areas are preferred: human rights, minorities and marginalized groups, environment and natural resources, development of civil society.
Participation at the workshop itself is free of charge. Accommodation will provided by the organizer and travel costs will be reimbursed, including visa cost and local travel.

• Pre-workshop welcome reception, May 18;
• Day 1, May 19: Essentials of NGO Management;
• Day 2, May 20: Essentials of NGO Management & HR / Organizational Change & Assessment;
• Day 3, May 21: Organizational Change & Assessment;
• Day 4, May 22: Marketing Strategy for NGOs.
The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, 7th February 2020, CEST 23:59.
