Call for Sub-Grant Programs: “Together for Social Communities”
The Armenian Association of Social Workers (AASW), with funding from the European Union and Austrian Development Cooperation, is announcing a call for applications to strengthen civil society organizations in better addressing the social needs of poor and vulnerable groups in Armenia.
The Armenian Association of Social Workers (AASW), with funding from the European Union and Austrian Development Cooperation, is announcing a call for applications to strengthen civil society organizations in better addressing the social needs of poor and vulnerable groups in Shirak, Tavush, Armavir and Syunik Marzes of Armenia, contributing to their social protection and overall social change in Armenia.
We are pleased to invite Armenian CSOs registered or mainly active in regions outside the capital to apply for a sub-grant within the scope of the targeted Sub-Grant Programme (SGP) that is part of the regional project “Together for Social Communities”, funded by the European Union and the Austrian Development Cooperation.
The project is implemented by Hilfswerk International (HWI) in cooperation with three local partners, the Armenian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Family and Community NGO (F&C) and Partnership and Teaching NGO (P&T), and strives to combat poverty and inequality in Armenia through the development of needs-based and resilient local social plans in partnership by all knowledgeable (state and non-state) stakeholders active locally in the social field as well as sustainable community-based and civil society-led social services for the benefit of poor and vulnerable groups in the Armenian regions of Shirak, Tavush, Armavir and Syunik.
The main objective of the Call for Applications is to support local CSOs in introducing/piloting/ expanding/ improving community-based social services for poor, vulnerable and marginalized groups, including those not yet covered or reached at all by state or non-state support measures, that satisfy minimum service quality principles and are in line with the applicable local social plans and the priorities set therein in the following communities: Akhuryan, Gyumri (Shirak marz), Ijevan, Noyemberyan (Tavush marz), Armavir and Metsamor (Armavir marz) and Goris, Sisian, Tatev (Syunik marz).

Information meetings for interested applicants will be organized in July 2022 in each Marz and online. The exact time and place will be announced under www.aasw.org . Prior registration is obligatory.

The deadline for application is 29 August, 2022, 15:00 local time.

Hand written applications and applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. Applications will be selected according to the predefined criteria and methodology.
