CrossCulture Internships programme (CCP)
Application
The CrossCulture Internships Programme (CCP) is an exchange and dialogue programme of ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen). The programme is implemented in partnership with the German Federal Foreign Office and has advocated intercultural exchange and the strengthening of networks between Germany and the Islamic world since 2005. In 2015 the programme launched a new module for the countries of the Eastern Partnership. In 2016 presumably 14 scholarships will be awarded to participants from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, as well as to participants from Russia and Germany.
The announcement of the CrossCulture Internships programme (CCP) for the Eastern Partnership countries and Russia is carried out by ifa in cooperation with the German diplomatic missions in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Russia. Requirements
The CrossCulture Internships programme for the a.m. countries targets young professionals or voluntarily engaged individuals permanently involved in an organisation in one of the following fields of activity:
- human rights, migration & refugees
- political education & youth participation
- knowledge society, intercultural dialogue, mediation & reconciliation
- culture & art
- media
Applicants need to have a good command of English and should be aged between 23 and 45 years. Furthermore, the applicants must be in good health: Their physical as well as mental working capacity must be sufficient for the requirements of a longer stay abroad and the essential work requirements of the internship. Currently enrolled university students will not be considered for selection.
Benefits
The interns' travel and subsistence expenses are covered by programme funds. This includes a monthly grant of 550 Euro, travel costs to Germany and urban public transport, as well as visa fees, health insurance and accommodation. The latter is either a private room in a shared flat (according to gender), a private room in a host family or a small furnished apartment. Accommodation includes cost for electricity, water and heating; whereas telephone and internet facilities are not included.
Selection Procedure
The filled in and signed application forms along with a passport picture are submitted via email to ifa: [email protected]
Application deadline is April 17, 2016 (date of receipt at ifa). Only complete e-mail applications will be processed! Please pay attention to the technical requirements of e-mail applications (refer to the application guideline 2016).
The CCP team at ifa in Stuttgart, Germany will screen all applications according to a set of criteria and may invite some applicants for a personal interview at the German Embassy or via phone/skype. The final selection of CrossCulture Internships participants is done in cooperation with the German Federal Foreign Office.
The nomination of the participants will be announced in early June 2016. Letters of refusal will be sent without further explanations until end of June 2016. No one has a legal right to be selected for the CrossCulture Internships programme.
