With full awareness of the current situation in Ukraine and the region, the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) announces an open competition for a regional project that strengthens media collaboration in Europe and Eurasia region.
Countries that are eligible for participation can include but are not limited to Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine, and the South Caucasus region. Proposals must include a minimum of five countries that span multiple regions of Europe and Eurasia, and $1,200,000 of the budget must be allocated to Central European countries (Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovenia).
Additional Information on Eligibility: DRL welcomes applications from U.S.-based and foreign-based non-profit organizations/nongovernment organizations (NGO) and public international organizations; private, public, or state institutions of higher education; and for-profit organizations or businesses. DRL’s preference is to work with non-profit entities; however, there may be some occasions when a for-profit entity is best suited.
