Human Rights Committee recommendations (Concluding Observations) to Armenia
The Centre for Civil and Political Rights is delighted that the Government of Armenia has submitted a second follow up report to the Human Rights Committee in June 2015. With this new report, Armenia confirms that it is willing to maintain a constructive dialogue with the Committee, which is very positive.
Based on this Goverment report and on the follow up reports from civil society (e.g. here), the Committee has announced that it would undertake a new follow up review of Armenia during the ongoing session 115. The session on follow-up to Concluding Observations will take place on Monday 2nd November from 10 to 11.30, Geneva time. The session will be live webcast on www.treatybodywebcast.org
You may want to sign up to our newsletter to receive an ensuing summary of the discussion on Armenia, and the criteria (grades) adopted by the Committee. Do not hesitate to disseminate this information further, and to get back to us with any feedback or question you may have. The CCPR Centre looks forward to continue supporting the implementation of the ICCPR and the recommendations of the Human Rights Committee in Armenia.
