Job Opportunity from CRRC-Armenia: Data Analyst, Quantitative Research
Job responsibilities
Research-Related Accountabilities:
- Undertake day-to-day research analytical activities within the overall agreed research projects by preparing, setting up, conducting, storing as well as planning and implementing the analytical outcomes (including data visualizations) of CRRC’s research/survey/events projects.
- Contribute to the project analytical reports (drafting research papers, articles/chapters/texts to be included in the reports or submitted to donor organizations, peer-reviewed journals etc.).
- Review research analytical outputs submitted by partner research teams and fellows to enable timely feedback.
- Analyze data, using quantitative software packages; suggest new methods, models, and questions for research.
- Design, compile, and code data to provide main findings for analytical reports/briefs/blog postings/press-releases.
- Use reference management software (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero) for creating libraries per analytical output and ensure all reports prepared by fellows/experts/analysts/researchers have quality references.
- Collect and analyze data with main indicators, as well as prepare respective presentations and analytical texts (using various software packages).
- Analyze various aspects of social, political, economic policies and develop respective analytical briefs/desk study outputs.
- Conduct research to provide the Program Manager for Quantitative Research with processual analytical outputs in coordination of ongoing projects: collect data at national and subnational level and analyze these data.
- Proactively come up with ideas to improve analytical capacity and analytical work at CRRC-Armenia, get familiarized with research analytical work of think tanks around the world, research ethics and analytical guidelines from respected organizations, review the analytical outputs produced in Armenia and globally to advance analytical work at CRRC-Armenia.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Supervisor.
Project-Related Accountabilities:
- Participate at teamwork for recruitment of researchers/data visualization specialists/experts/analysts recruitment for the sake of quality analytical work undertaken within CRRC-Armenia projects, draft the announcement, participate in the selection process, trainings, follow the progress of individual researches, ensure the timely submission of deliverables by fellows/experts/researchers/analysts.
- Project management (management of analytical research projects or analytical phases of projects).
- Participate at project meetings to follow the logic of projects implementation to assure associated analytical work.
- Initiate brainstorming sessions with project working group meetings.
- Undertake administrative tasks associated with the research projects, including drafting progress reports, documentation and implementation of procedures required to ensure accurate and timely reporting especially regarding analytical processes, manage email correspondence accordingly.
- Attend project-related meetings and events (conferences, discussions, trainings, calls, etc.).
- Participate in meetings, workshops, seminars, and other events organized by partner organizations and key CRRC constituents as requested and as contributing to the analytical work.
Other duties as needed to further CRRC’s overall goals and projects’ implementation.
Required qualifications
Required Skills:
- Excellent analytical and writing skills.
- Self-starter with ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Mature judgment combined with problem solving approach.
- Ability to distill large amounts of information into specific takeaways.
- Excellent organizational, time management and communicational skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Higher education (Graduate Degree in Social Sciences or Data Science is a preference).
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing information, developing analytical reports, preparing, and delivering presentations.
- Fluency in Armenian and English.
- High computer literacy (to administer upon need such software packages/programs as NVivo, MAXQDA, SPSS, STATA, R, MEDELEY, Tableau, Python etc.).

Additional information
General Terms and Conditions:
Hours: 40 hours per week, 09:00 – 18:00 Lunch time - 1 hour (13:00-14:00). For separate cases the working hours and place are negotiable with the Supervisor and upon notice.
Holidays: Annual leave entitlement for full time CRRC-Armenia staff is 20 working days per calendar year, in addition to Armenian public holidays (up to 12 working days).
Health Insurance: Permanent staff is entitled to the Group Health Insurance Scheme, Training and Scholarship.
Salary Grade: CRRC-Armenia Foundation reserves the right to amend or add to this job description at its discretion. Changes will be discussed with the respective employee in person and notification made in writing within 4 weeks of addition or amendment.
