Lines and Spaces: A Creative Writing Experience for young writers from Armenia and Turkey

The ARI Literature Foundation and the U.S. Embassy in Armenia are proud to offer a creative writing experience opportunity for select young writers from Armenia and Turkey.
The two-day experience, plus a third day of literary enhancement events, will be led by U.S. writers visiting Armenia on the Lines and Spaces Reading Tour of the International Writing Project, University of Iowa, along with mentorship by a lead writer from each country. It will include group sessions in English and practical writing sessions in the native languages coordinated by each lead native language writer.
Deadline for submitting applications October 27, 2017.
Requirements:
• 18-25 years old • Functionally fluent in English • Strong interest in writing as a future career

Lines and Spaces Reading Tour
Five prominent American writers are visiting Armenia as part of the Lines and Spaces Reading Tour, conducted by the internationally-renowned University of Iowa’s International Writing Program. The writers are Natashia Deon, Lisa Schlesinger, Michael Collier, Cate Dicharry, and Christopher Merrill.
