JOB DESCRIPTION: The Economic and Environmental Unit of the main Office consists of 2 local fixed-term mission members, with 2 NP1 posts of National Programme Officers: one maintains Economic portfolio and the other Environmental. Both NPOs have expansive project activities and require Short-Term Assistance (STA).
Activities under the "Supporting the Host Country's Transition to Sustainable Market Economy and Securing Economy Stability" project and "To Support Government and Civil Society in Addressing Environmental Issues" project will have a significant workload increase. The Programme Assistant will provide needed clerical and administrative support for engagement with and assistance to Implementing Partners, as well as facilitation of events. The Programme Assistant will also provide clerical assistance with daily activities of the two NPOs concerned related to the implementation process of theirs projects. In this regard, the OSCE Office in Yerevan invites applications from highly qualified, energetic and experienced Armenian professionals for the post of a Programme Assistant (G4) to support the Economic and Environmental Unit of the Office.
The Programme Assistant (G4), Economic and Environmental Unit, under the direct supervision of the Economic and Environmental Officer (S2), will assist the staff of the Economic and Environmental Unit at the main Office in the implementation of the Unit's activities related to operation of programmatic activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Co-ordinate programmatic data and information; prepare and maintain the Unit's records, documents, archive;
- Provide administrative assistance for effective and timely planning of the projects implementation;
- Liaise with Implementing Partners (IPs) on regular basis to obtain necessary information and/ or required documents;
- Attend relevant meetings, working groups, roundtables, workshops and prepare relevant records on the events attended;
- Assist in organization and co-ordination of meetings, workshops, and other events; make logistical arrangements; organize participation; take minutes of the meetings and provide translation if necessary;
- Provide other administrative support as necessary, such as communication and co-ordination of work with the staff of the Fund Administration Unit, drafting of regular correspondence, reports, etc.;
- Provide translation service as required;
- Perform other related work as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of secondary education supplemented by courses in Project Implementation, Administration and/ or Finance trainings;
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience;
- Administrative experience, project co-ordination and implementation related work, preferably in an international environment is an asset;
- Computer literacy with practical experience in Microsoft packages, e-mail and Internet;
- Basic knowledge of economic and environmental issues in Armenia;
- Drafting and reporting experience;
- Excellent communication skills in Armenian and English languages; knowledge of Russian language would be an asset;
- Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds;
- Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity.
REMUNERATION/ SALARY: Monthly remuneration, subject to social security (Cigna medical insurance scheme) deductions, is 588,25 EUR.
