The Smithsonian Institution is recruiting the following positions for My Armenia, a new 4-year cultural heritage tourism program developed in partnership and funded by USAID | Armenia. This program will support the development of the cultural tourism sector in Armenia. This position will be filled by an Armenian national and will be based in Yerevan, Armenia.
Project Specialist (approximately 4 year term position)
The project specialist will provide technical support to the chief of party and project team. This position is responsible for community-based and/or cultural enterprise coordination and training; working with experts to develop and conduct enterprise assessments and trainings; contributing to project planning; tracking impact data; and working with other team members to integrate community-based and/or cultural enterprises into tourism. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in community development, business, economic development or a related field; 3-5 years of experience in enterprise and/or community development in Armenia; excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills; and fluency in both Armenian and English.
