The University of Gothenburg in Sweden, together with the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), will be offering a Swedish Institute Academy for Young Professionals (SAYP) training module in September-November 2021.
SAYP is a training program developed to build new networks, knowledge and practices for increased transparency, efficiency and resilience in public administration. The program also aims to strengthen individual capabilities to meet the requirements of a modern governance structure. SAYP participants will be able to expand their contact networks and share ideas, experiences and challenges with other like-minded professionals.
The module being offered by the University of Gothenburg and GIPA is Migration and Integration in the Eastern Partnership and the Baltic Sea Region: Policy and Administrative Challenges for the Development of Inclusive Societies.
This module assists public servants, policymakers and civil society workers in developing a more comprehensive understanding of the diverse political, societal, and administrative challenges associated with migration and integration relevant to the Eastern Partnership and the Baltic Sea Region. It focuses on identifying good practices at all levels of governance. The module relies on a mix of lectures, problem-based learning exercises, seminars and project work, providing participants with a rich analytical and practical toolkit. The module will take place online for three days each in both September and October, plus five days on-site in Tbilisi, Georgia in November.
Applications to participate are welcome from policymakers, public servants and civil society workers who are 35 or younger; citizens of either Armenia, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Sweden and Ukraine; and are currently working in these countries.
Participation in SAYP is free of charge and includes meals, accommodation and travel.
The application deadline is March 22, 2021. Please see the link for further application details:
