Equestrian Federation of Armenia was founded in 1953. It’s member of International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) and accepts its Statue. Equestrian federation of Armenia (FEA) is an official organization, representing interests of Armenian equestrian clubs, sportsmen, officials and all other persons who accept FEA’s Statute. With the increasing interest towards the equestrian sport in Armenia, in 2001, under the support of Equestrian Federation of Armenia was founded the Hovik Hayrapetyan Equestrian Centre.
The center consists of an 1800 meters-long horse racing hippodrome, one outdoor and one indoor equestrian international competitions arenas. The centre is the regular venue for many domestic and regional competitions. Currently, it is the only equestrian centre in Armenia with its own indoor arena.
The headquarters of the Federation of Equestrian sport of Armenia are located in the center.
