Anti-discrimination legislation discussed in Armenia as part of EU-funded project
'Anti-Discrimination Legislation: Why Armenia Needs it?' was the theme of a round table organised in Armenia as part of the EU-funded project "Civil Society. Dialogue for Progress". The event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the EU Delegation to Armenia, as well as the members of the Armenian National Platform of EaP Civil Society Forum, international organisations including the Council of Europe and OSCE, and other active human rights defenders in the country. The main aim was to update Armenian civil society on the progress of high-level discussions around the development of a new draft law on non-discrimination. Participants discussed constitutional amendments, the campaign against discrimination in Armenia, LGBT issues, and cooperation perspectives with other governmental bodies.
