Negotiation or How to Get What You Want

The lecture will focus on multi-sectoral approach to negotiation, including real-life examples from the public, private, and non-profit sectors. The important concepts of the course will be interest vs. position, value vs. claiming, integrative vs. distributive models in negotiation, dealing with multi-party negotiation, issues of culture and gender in negotiation, managing emotions, difficult tactics, leadership and negotiation, etc. The lecture will be supplemented with some role plays. The lecture will be delivered in Armenian.

«ՄասնակցուՄԵՆՔ» սոցիալական ձեռնարկատիրության և ակտիվ քաղաքացիության ծրագիրը խրախուսում է երիտասարդների կողմից սոցիալական ձեռնարկատիրությունների ստեղծումը եւ ակտիվ մասնակցությունը համայնքի կյանքին՝ դասընթացների, մասնագիտական պրակտիկաների և քննարկումների միջոցով։
Ծրագրի շրջանակներում ընտրված մասնակիցները հնարավորություն են ունենալու մասնակցելու «Ակտիվ քաղաքացիություն» և «Սոցիալական ձեռնարկատիրություն» դպրոցներին, ինչպես նաև՝ անցնելու 2 շաբաթ տևողությամբ պրակտիկա հասարակական կազմակերպություններում կամ սոցիալական ձեռնարկատիրություններում։

The Challenging Wars and Conflicts: Peace and war through the gender lens conference recruits enthusiasts that want to encourage an increased participation of women on the frontlines -- as reporters, peace journalists, peace builders, and politicians-- to discuss the changes in war and peace narratives. The conference will assemble grassroots activists, peace journalists, diplomats, politicians, state officials, representatives from the academia among others.
Call for Papers: Late Soviet Village: People, Institutions, and Objects Between “Rural” and “Urban” Life Styles

The aim of the conference is to reassess the developments in the rural Soviet Union not merely as a decline and disappearance of “traditional” rural life but as a specific modus of entanglement between the city and the countryside, and as a product of simultaneous “ruralisation” of urban life styles and “urbanisation” of rural life styles. We welcome contributions by historians, anthropologists, ethnographers, and social scientists addressing the issues of late Soviet rural developments.
