Advancing reforms in Armenia with Visegrad Four’s know-how
The Centre for Policy Studies, with support from the International Visegrad Fund, is launching the project Advancing reforms in Armenia with Visegrad Four’s know-how. The project will include 20 events divided in five modules: the Central European countries’ policies and support to reforms in the Eastern Partnership region; civilian security sector reform; healthcare reform and social policy; renewable energy sector development; and IT sector, e-governance and information society development.
The first module on the Central European states’ policies will take place in July: it includes 2-hour online seminars with experts from all V4 countries. Each of the modules 2-5 (beginning in September) will include three online seminars with V4 experts followed by panel discussions with Armenian experts and officials. Working languages: English (seminars) and Armenian (panel discussions).
The first event within the project framework will be organised via Zoom at 12 pm. on 3 July (Yerevan time). Wojciech Przybylski, president of the Res Publica foundation and editor-in-chief of Visegrad Insight, will make a presentation on Polish perspective on the Eastern Partnership, followed by a discussion with Armenian and foreign experts. Similar discussions with Czech, Hungarian and Slovak experts will be organised later in July.
After each of the modules 2-5, policy experts may submit proposals for policy papers with recommendations (in Armenian). The chosen authors will be remunerated.
Additionally, young researchers who will take part in all 4 events of any module and publish a 3-5 page paper may get certificates of participation.
