Call for Applications: BBC Media Action Training
BBC Media Action is offering third- to fourth-year students of journalism the opportunity to take part in 2 innovative storytelling and multimedia courses. The workshops will be a combination of theory and practical exercises and will be conducted in English with simultaneous interpretation in Armenian. The workshops consisting of 4 webinars will be held in the period between September 14 to September 20 2021. They will be conducted by BBC trainers and will be scheduled to allow you to take part. Six students who complete the course will have the opportunity to apply and to attend three-month internships at Factor TV.
These student workshops and internships are part of the EU-funded project ‘European Media Facility in Armenia 'Building Sustainable and Professional Media.'

Storytelling Workshops, run by David Nolan (Journalist)
This workshop will focus on:
• People-centred journalism and audience focused storytelling
• Basics of storytelling (what is a story, story structure)
• Storytelling for different platforms with a focus on digital
Multimedia Workshops, run by David Hayward (Multimedia Consultant)
This workshop will focus on:
• How to produce content from text, image and on demand video for a web service
• How to plan a multimedia story
• Multimedia reporting
• Covering breaking stories in a multimedia news environment
• Using social media in a multimedia newsroom
• Who is the multimedia audience and how to reach them all (including cross promotion)
