International Hrant Dink Award - Call for Nominations - 2016
Every year, the Award is presented to individuals, organizations or groups that work for a free and just world free from discrimination, racism and violence, who take personal risks for achieving those ideals, who break the stereotypes and use the language of peace and by doing so give inspiration and hope to others. By means of this Award, the Hrant Dink Foundation aims to remind to all those who struggle for these ideals that their voices are heard, their works are visible, they are not alone, and also to encourage everyone to fight for their ideals. Since 2009, the International Hrant Dink Award is presented annually at an award ceremony organized on Hrant Dink’s birthday, September 15th.
Hrant Dink Foundation thinks that it is important to invite a wide scale of nominations to ensure that the individuals and groups, who engage in invaluable local work but are not necessarily under international spotlight, would have the chance to be nominated. The primary aim of the International Hrant Dink Award is to give these people the message that their voices are heard and that their works are visible and they are not alone.
This year, the awards will be presented for the eight time. At this point, Hrant Dink Foundation would like to invite your nominations for the International Hrant Dink Award. The call for nominations will continue until the 30th of April 2016.
You are more than welcome to nominate persons, organisations or institutions that fulfil the abovementioned criteria by submitting their names to [email protected].
With your continuous support, we have advanced and will continue to do so in the process of institutionalization. We would appreciate your assistance if you could disseminate this call to your own networks as well.
We look forward to your contributions to the nomination process for the International Hrant Dink Award.
