Job description
- Develop, review and comment laws, policies, strategic action plans and other documents related to women’s rights and gender based violence fields
- Issue official letters and public statements related to the Coalition’s work areas
- Engage in the Coalition’s main activities such as development of Femicide Report and creation of a joint database on gender based violence cases
- Participate in court trials on domestic violence cases both in Yerevan and the regions of Armenia and report back on any major incidents
- Provide ongoing judicial advice and support to the Coalition
- Participate in external meetings, conferences and other events, deliver speeches in press conferences and TVs on behalf of the Coalition as requested
- Support translation of legal announcements
- Support re-registration process of the Coalition.
Required skills and knowledge
- A Master’s degree in Law
- Experience in developing, reviewing and analysing legal documents and policies
- At least 3 years of working experience in the sphere of human rights; experience in women’s rights is highly encouraged
- Excellent knowledge of Armenian; good knowledge of English is encouraged
- Great communication skills with diverse institutions, skills in public speaking
- Skills in working individually and in a team
- Great sense of commitment and ability to work in a flexible and resilient environment
- Knowledge on issues related to women’s rights and gender based violence
- Gender sensitivity and desire to bring about a positive change in the field of women’s rights.
