What is the support program for creators and researchers?  

 

The support program for creators and researchers is the first grant program implemented through the "Literature Promotion Division" operating in the National Library of Armenia. It was created to support cultural studies, literature, and literary criticism projects. The program provides up to one million drams for long-term (up to one year) creative or research work that will promote the development and dissemination of artistic prose genres and scientific and cultural literature. The works created as a result of the project will be published on the online platform to ensure wide public access. The winners of the grant program should have two publications in electronic or print media in 2019, as well as present their works in regional libraries,

 

What is the purpose of the program?   

 

Support for creators and researchers is complemented by the gap of state policy in the field of independent culture, moving emphasis from the publishing-printing stage of literacy to creative. The long-term goal of the project is to stimulate the creation of prominent, enduring and welfare activities that will contribute to the development of literature and social science, as well as to the rise of civic consciousness.

 

Who can apply?  

 

Writers, research critics, researchers (individuals) who have not previously received funding for the project are citizens of Armenia and live in Armenia, individually or collectively, to support the creators and researchers. There will be no application for board members or their close relatives (parent, child, spouse), as well as applications from government officials.

 

Which projects are being monitored?  

 

The grant will be awarded to the following works:  

 

a) fiction literature;  

◆ adventure prose,

◆ detective prose,

◆ science fiction,

◆ fencing,

◆ horror story,

◆ fiction memorandum,  

b) research works,  

◆ Armenian Literary Criticism,

◆ Theory of Armenian Culture,

◆ Armenian criticism of art,

◆ culturology.

 

How to Apply?  

 

Applications are accepted on the website of the Ministry of Culture (mincult.am) during 25 days following the announcement of the support program for the creators and researchers. Complete package of proposals is to be sent to [email protected].  

 

The application package must contain:  

 

◆ bid form ( attached );

◆ An article on the subject of the planned study,

◆ section from the intended artistic excerpt (at least 10 pages);

◆ Applicant's CV (CV),

◆ copies of documents proving identity and place of residence;  

 

Applications submitted with defective or false data that do not meet the required genres, previously issued or prepared, will not be considered. The grant-making board for creators and researchers may require additional documentation and materials from the applicant, if necessary.  

 

The Board will carry out the risk and conformity assessment, taking into account the proposed project, financial calculations, timing, effectiveness and other components. The names of winners of the grant program will be posted on the Ministry's website within a month after the deadline for submission of applications.
