On November 26 at 15.00, the Caucasus Institute will present a new book, ‘The Unrecognised Politics of De Facto States in the Post-Soviet Space', edited by Laurence Broers, Alexander Iskandaryan and Sergey Minasyan, jointly published by the Caucasus Institute and International Association for the Study of the Caucasus with support from the Academic Swiss Caucasus Net.
The book is based on presentations made at a conference on De-facto states in the Post-Soviet Space, in Sevan, Armenia, on 4-5 September, 2014. The Sevan conference was the first academic event that brought together English-speaking experts to discuss theoretical and practical aspects of de facto states’ development in the post-Soviet space.
The book will be presented by Richard Giragosian, director of the Regional Studies Center. The presentation will be followed by a roundtable discussion with the participation of two of the book’s editors: CI Director Alexander Iskandaryan and Deputy Director Sergey Minasyan.
