Support For Women's Groups And Organizations With Limited Opportunities
Women’s Fund Armenia announces a call for proposals for support to empowered women from marginalized communities in Armenia. The aim of this call is to empower women from various communities (such as women with disabilities, LBT women, women from Yazidi community in Armenia, women living with HIV/AIDS, single mothers, women human rights defenders and other groups) living in Armenia to become agents of social change.
Even though women in general and those who protect them face discrimination and different types of violations of their rights, women from marginalized and socially vulnerable communities face double discrimination; social pressure and their voices are silenced even more. With this project we will create, through the concept of the Women’s Fund, a support system for development; an inclusive platform to empower women from different groups and give them the necessary tools and skills to make their voices heard and support them in becoming agents of change in their communities.
The call for proposals has three main objectives:
1. To develop capacities of women’s organizations and initiatives based on their needs
