Workshop on the National Adaptation Plan of Armenia
The Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia with the support of the EU-funded project Clima East: Support to Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation in Russia and ENP East Countries is organizing a workshop in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia, on the 31 August 2016. The workshop is dedicated to one of the most challenging area, adaptation to Climate Change and the national adaptation policy in Armenia. The workshop aims to discuss the issues of adaptation to Climate Change and the national policy in CCA.
The EU-funded project Clima East, focused on assistance in CC policy to the ENP countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) has provided, through its Expert Facility, an expert assistance resulted in elaborated recommendations for future National Adaptation Plan.
At the workshop, the recommendations and the roadmap for the NAP-process, a proposed NAP structure and the potential main elements for the National Adaptation Plan of Armenia will be presented to the wide number of national specialists from various governmental, business and academic circles and SCOs, together with the outcomes of other climate-relevant projects activities undertaken in the RA, for discussing and gathering suggestions from the stakeholders in order to pave the way for elaboration of the main national policy document for CC adaptation, National Adaptation Plan.
