The Einstein Foundation Award for Promoting Quality in Research aims to provide recognition and publicity for outstanding efforts that enhance the rigor, reliability, robustness, and transparency of research, and stimulate awareness and activities fostering research quality among scientists, institutions, funders, and politicians. To acknowledge the outstanding role early career researchers (ECRs) have in promoting research quality, ECRs will be invited to propose projects that foster research quality and value. Projects will be competitively selected for funding and internationally showcased.

Over the course of 3,5 years, a collective of independent online media from Eastern Partnership countries builds a network and works collaboratively on three thematic platforms. Curated by n-ost, editors and journalists from independent media (focus countries: Ukraine and Georgia) come together with freelancers and experts to exchange and synchronize resources, participate in capacity building activities and produce content along three thematic areas (health, climate, information society).

GRANT COMPETITION: CIVIL SOCIETY RESILIENCE AND PARTNERSHIP DURING COVID-19

Within the EU-funded “Future Today: Empowering women, youth and children for deepening democracy in Armenia” project UNDP Armenia’s Kolba Lab opens a special call for proposals aimed to support civil society organizations, making them more resilient against shocks and crisis. The project has envisaged support for proposals suggesting solutions and innovative models towards collaborative action on the national and municipal level, citizen participation schemes, new oversight and monitoring mechanisms and peer-to-peer support actions, responding to the emerging challenges of 2020. The call is aligned with the ongoing ADB/OGP global initiative to ensure government accountability and responsiveness during COVID-19 and the new regional “EU for Integrity Action for the Eastern Partnership” initiative, which includes support to OGP in enhancing EaP government and civil society dialogue on accountability and transparency reforms.

The call will aim at mobilising a critical cohort of young innovators in generating and testing future-oriented ideas.
