Green Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Discussion
Nowadays, society gradully makes a shift to Green Technologies, which encompass various aspects of technology and help reduce the human impact on the environment thus creating ways of sustainable development.
We invite you all to meet on April 29, 2016 during Young Researcher's "Mergelyan" Club to discuss a project devoted to green technologies. Our guest speakers, Mr. Hrachya Asatryan, Head of Centre for Scientific Computing at Institute for Informatics and Automated Problems), Adjunct Lecturer at AUA, Mr. Wahi Narsisian, CPU optimization specialist, and Mr. Aram Kocharyan, Memory optimization specialist, will present the project their team is working on.
The proposed project is a service enabling to:
• Measure and record the energy consumption and CO2
emission of all digital facilities such as computational, data
and networking infrastructures.
• Create an appropriate balance between
performance/energy by implementing several optimization
approaches and methods.
• Prepare and implement a Green policy to take common
steps toward Green ICT.
