Journalists Club Asparez

“Asparez” Journalists Club non-governmental organization has been promoting freedom of speech, freedom of media and freedom of expression throughout the 15 years of its activities. The organization has undertaken steps directed against corruption, development of local government and protection of human rights. “Asparez” is the first non-governmental organization in Armenia that has founded its own newspaper and on-line radio station. It has initiated 70 lawsuits for the sake of information freedom development. In addition to the organization’s web-page (www.asparez.am), “Asparez” has also developed a special web-page (www.publicdata.am) to publicize community and school budgets and other information. The organization’s mission is to see Armenia as a country with protected fundamental human rights.
